Get Ready to Dash Through the Park The Stamford Santa Fun Run Returns to Burghley House

Get ready for festive fun as you dash through Burghley's historic Parkland dressed head-to-toe as Santa

The hugely popular Stamford Santa Fun Run takes place every year in the picturesque grounds of Burghley Park, bringing together thousands of festive runners, walkers, and families for an unforgettable day of holiday cheer.

As the largest event of its kind for miles around, the run is renowned for its unbeatable festive atmosphere and is so popular that it routinely sells out each year.

Whether you are looking to smash a personal best or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll in your Santa suit, this event is designed to be completely family-friendly and accessible for all fitness levels.

Participants can tailor their day by choosing from three scenic routes through the rolling parkland:

The 1-Mile Route
The 2-Mile Route
The 3-Mile Route

You can run, jog, or take a relaxed stroll around your chosen route—making it ideal for young children, multi-generational family groups, and furry friends

The Christmas magic begins before the run even starts. Everyone gathers around the main stage for a high-energy, mass-Santa warm-up led by enthusiastic comperes who will be blasting all your favorite Christmas tunes to get the crowd moving.

Once you cross the finish line:

Collect your commemorative finisher's medal.

Head into the event marquee to warm up with mince pies, mulled wine, or a soft drink.

Beyond the sea of red suits and holiday cheer, the Stamford Santa Fun Run plays a vital role in supporting the local community. Organised by the Stamford Striders with support from the Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley, the event raises crucial funds for three fantastic causes:

Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice – Providing expert palliative care and support to patients and families in the region.

Mindspace Stamford – Delivering local mental health support, resources, and wellbeing initiatives.

The Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley – Supporting a wide variety of community projects and charities throughout the year.
